  1. My husband and I ar planning on getting a chain link fence for our backyard and want to be sure we can care for it. I had no idea that you should be sure to remove rust and treat it with rust inhibitors and metal primers. Something else to do is to get your chain link fence inspected professionally at least every other year so that they can catch any problems early on.

  2. I like the recommendation to check for any mistakes or breakages in the fence in winter due to it’s weaker state. It makes sense that it could be good to remove scuffs as well because it would allow the fence to prevent rust or erosion. It’s something I’ll have to remember for getting a new fence to make sure it lasts a long time and keeps people out.

  3. It is good to know that one can use power washers or garden hoses to wash off chain link fences. This would be a good thing to do in preparation for winter. Another thing to think about would be to fix parts of the fence where the wire has been adjusted with proper equipment.
